What’s Special About BMW Lease Deals?
BMW stands apart from other car companies in offering more and better car leases
For the last few years, BMW has been offering the best lease deals on more of it’s vehicles than any other car company. It does it every month. And this month, at the time of this writing, they have over 75 special leases across their entire product line from coupes, sedans, convertibles, X-Series SUVs, Z4 sports cars, and even their little i3 electric vehicle.
Not only do they offer these incentive leases on multiple models within each model line, but the leases are on some of the most popular models. Many car companies only offer such deals on the lowest priced, least popular, base models. Not BMW.
All of the BMW leases are outstanding deals, as confirmed by our evaluations using our Lease Deal Calculator. All of the deals score very high and evaluate as either Excellent or Outstanding. Make no mistake, the payments on these leases are much lower than a normal lease for the same vehicle.
Why are these such great deals?
BMW has created these low-payment leases by doing a number of things.
First, they have based the lease on a discounted price for each vehicle, adding “option allowances”, which are essentially rebates, although BMW never calls them rebates (sounds cheap).
Second, they’ve boosted the normal lease-end residual value of each vehicle, which reduces monthly payment amount since payment calculations are based on the difference between vehicle cost (cap cost) and residual value. The smaller the difference, the lower the payment.
Third, they’ve lowered the normal finance rate (money factor) to near zero, which further lowers monthly payment amount.
It’s the combination of all these factors that make a low monthly payment, much lower than a leasing customer could negotiate without BMW’s incentives — which is why it is important to try to take advantage of these deals when offered.
What’s the catch?
First, BMW’s special lease deals are usually good for only one month. Then they can disappear, be extended, or be replaced by other deals. Look for the deals to become somewhat better as next year’s models arrive in dealer showrooms.
Second, although BMW offers more deals than all other car companies combined, not every model is included. If you are looking for a very specific model and style that is not being promoted currently, you can’t expect to get the same great deal.
Finally, BMW states that the special lease offers are only available to “qualified customers” which means customers who have good credit. If you think you might be interested in one of the deals, you should know your credit score before visiting your dealer. Get a Dark Web Scan and your Experian Credit Report for FREE!
Summary
BMW offers some of the best, and most, special car lease deals in the business. The deals are hard to ignore, especially when you consider that they also throw in 4 years of free scheduled maintenance. What a deal !
